Banking Day in TAMEH POLSKA sp. z o.o.

May 15th TAMEH hosted representatives of consortium banks – lenders from the syndicated loan arranged by RBI and EBRD. The loan is utilized to finance the Strategic CAPEX projects of TAMEH.

The purpose of the visit was to present the completed Projects in Dąbrowa Górnicza plant. Guests were visiting installations of TAMEH located in Dąbrowa Górnicza plant, which were financed from the loan:

  • Boilers OPG 230 modernisation,
  • desulphurisation and denitration installations,
  • top-pressure recovery turbines (TRT).

All these projects were implemented within time schedule and within budgets. New assets are under operations, working with satisfactory technical parameters.

TAMEH operations after implementation of the desulphurisation and denitration installations projects are meeting highest environmental standards.

The TRT installation is a project that significantly improves energy efficiency and is the first installation of this type in Poland. Top Recovery Turbine Installation was built and put into operation in 2018 and recovers energy from blast furnace gas, completely emission-free.  Previously, 54 thousand tons of coal had to be burnt to generate this volume of energy resulting in CO2 emission of 115 thousand ton.
