Generation Plant Nowa launched a project involving an installation for supplying oxygen to bf blast pipelines, with turbo compressors in operation, to ArcelorMittal S.A. in Dąbrowa Górnicza.
Generation Plant Nowa launched a project involving an installation for supplying oxygen to bf blast pipelines, with turbo compressors in operation, to ArcelorMittal S.A. in Dąbrowa Górnicza. Erection of the installation supplying oxygen to bf blast pipeline supported by the operation of turbo compressors was launched this June.
The erected installation is to facilitate enrichment of bf blast with oxygen when Blast Furnaces are supplied on an emergency basis by turbo compressors in Generation Plant Nowa.
The installation includes:
300-meter high-pressure oxygen pipeline,
Oxygen filtration station,
Oxygen supply and reduction station,
Low-pressure pipelines supplying oxygen to bf blast pipelines.
The installation is now undergoing rinsing – degreasing to be followed by a pressure test performed together with a notified body, installation of fittings and commissioning.
The project is expected to be completed by 31.12.2018.
